Duration: 2 days. 4 open water dives.
Course Price: $289.00
Prerequisites: Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Divers at least 15 years old may participate.
Who should take this course?
Headed for the Caribbean? Are you going to be doing repetitive dives during your trip? Well, more than likely you will be diving deeper than 60 feet to see the amazing sights on the reef. To dive with confidence at depths down to 130 feet you will want to take the Deep Diver Specialty.
If you are a PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver and at least 15 years old, you can enroll in the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.
What will you learn?
Your training starts by reviewing the reasons for deep diving and learning your limits. During your four open water deep dives you will learn:
Reasons to deep dive as far as 130 feet.
Which factors should you consider when setting your personal depth limit.
Which five specialized pieces of equipment are recommended for deep diving.
Guidelines to follow when using a dive computer.
Steps to follow during descents and ascents.
Also, the first dive of this PADI Specialty Diver course may credit as an Adventure Dive toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification – ask your instructor about earning credit.
How can you start learning now?
Contact Dakota Scuba to enroll in the course and get a PADI Deep Diver Crew-Pak that includes your manual and video.
What scuba gear will you use?
Besides your basic scuba equipment, you’ll need a dive computer and underwater light. Your PADI Instructor may suggest other gear to help you stay oriented, such as marker buoys or lines and reels.
